Kim Chiu became emotional during her acceptance speech for the Outstanding Asian Star Award (Philippines) she won at the 2024 Seoul International Drama Awards held this Wednesday (September 26) at the KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea.

Just backstage, after she walked the purple carpet of the said award show, the Kapamilya actress was already emotional because it was her first time to experience being awarded in a foreign country.

When she accepted her international award, the actress couldn’t stop herself from being emotional.

He dedicated his award to his fans who are the reason why he won. He also dedicated the award to people who gave him the opportunity to have a career in the showbiz industry such as Director Laurenti Dyogi of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ where he first became known as a Teen Housemate in the year 2006.

He also did not forget to thank the late founder of Dreamscape Entertainment, Deo Endrinal (SLN) who really made Kim cry.

“This is a dream come true for me to represent ABS-CBN and my country, the Philippines,” he said in his speech.

Kim revealed his interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News, he prepared a speech on his cellphone, but it was deleted.

“It’s a good thing I memorized him by heart,” he said.

He said he is still overwhelmed by what he has experienced.

“I can’t believe it. Haven’t I cried yet? It’s just the beginning, it’s just the beginning, I’m already starstruck by everything I’ve seen,” said Kim

“Because all the winners, the ‘Moving’, the ‘Mask Girl’, there are many shows. I watched him while I was at home, then now I saw the directors, producers, actors and then I participated in the event.

“So I was overwhelmed, so when I said thank you, I cried,” he added.
