Fashion and beauty icon Heart Evangelista revealed some of her skincare secrets that help maintain her young-looking skin.

At the press conference of Heart’s collaboration with glutathione brand Thiocell on Thursday, the Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations said she’s not so much into the Korean 10-step skincare routine.

“Not so much 10 steps, but I definitely don’t sleep on my face,” Heart shared, adding she would always sleep on her back to avoid getting wrinkles on her face.

“I sleep like this (lying on my back) because of the gravity. You don’t want to create wrinkles ganyan,” Heart narrated.

She also said she makes sure that when putting on makeup, “They don’t stretch your [skin] so once you stretch it’s hard to go back so I just  do a lot of preservation.”

Heart emphasized the importance of moisturizers, especially on her neck.

“I just really make sure to moisturize a lot, whether it’s night or day. I really do a lot of moisturizing on my neck and then I focus on my eyes,” she said.

She said her routine would usually just take five steps but she said, “It’s everything you do between the day that maintains it.”

Heart swears by Thiocell, a gluthatione complex dietary supplement and vitamins.

“I take two in the morning. I just let it sit, I like to put it around my mouth because I feel like it really gets absorbed [that way] so that’s what I do.” Heart said.

Thiocell is not like the usual glutathione tablet, it comes in a chewable lozenges form.

Heart suggests to “Try not to chew and try not to swallow then it really gets absorbed because if you swallow it’s the same as tablet.”

She said she has tried it about two years ago even before the brand approached her to be its ambassador.

“I first discovered Thiocell a year, actually parang two years ago pa nga, kasi ‘yong friend ko, yung chief of staff ni Chiz, sinasabi niya that a lot of her friends are asking for Thiocell,” she narrated.

Apart from Gluthatione, Heart said she likes it because it has Vitamin C, Grape Seed Extract, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and L-Selenomethionine. She said she wants to drink something that has all the benefits she needs. — LA, GMA News
