After years of being present in major fashion events, Heart Evangelista revealed how she recently got kicked out of Fashion Week because somebody “represented” her instead.

The 38-year-old fashion icon made the revelation in her sit-down interview with MEGA Editor-in-Chief Peewee Reyes-Isidro, where they talked about her fashion journey, including mishaps at the event.

During the conversation, Heart was asked about her thoughts on other Filipino celebrities attending fashion events. The socialite admitted that while she’s happy about it, she finds it “nasty” when there’s a “crab mentality” involveor how some people make it a competition.

“I’m here to support whoever goes, but you know we all have to do it the right way,” she said.

Being in the fashion industry for a long time, the actress stressed that such events are supposed to be fun and not a “rat race.”

“There’s no need to have tried to kick somebody out of a show because that happened to me in the last Fashion Week,” she revealed.

“I would talk to certain PRs to say ‘no.’ Somebody was calling and saying I’m not able because another person’s going to attend [for me],” recalled Evangelista.

The incident made her do “a lot of clearing up,” which has caused her unnecessary stress. She added that she now has three agents to help her oversee transactions made under her name to prevent it from happening again.

“I have three agents now to fix and verify everything that would happen to me, and I won’t be taken out of a show because they said that I wasn’t allowed to attend or something,” she said. “So there’s like a lot of those things that happen. It starts to become political.”

She furthered that while she understands how it gets messy because “everybody gets too excited,” she stressed the need to iron things out to overcome complicated matters.

“I get that everybody gets too excited, so it gets messy at some point, but those things can happen. You really just have to plan things out properly so there’s like a harmonious, smooth way of doing everything,” she said.

Despite the stress it caused her, Heart emphasized that she’s still glad she went through it all, especially since it helped her change her ways to be more detail-oriented.

“I’m also glad that it kind of pushed me to change things in a way to the next step, I went 10 steps ahead. I fixed a lot of corporate stuff and legal stuff. I got all my cards set perfectly, and now it’s okay,” she said. “It’s going to be smoother.”

In the past months, the I Left My Heart in Sorsogon star went through a fallout from friends and former glam team. She has also been sharing cryptic “revelations” on her social media pages about being shadow-banned and her stolen contacts for somebody’s Europe trip.

Despite all these, Heart said she’s still grateful to go through it all, stressing that she “will not be [broken] again.”

“I’m glad I really went through the fire,” she said. “I’m a tough cookie, it’ll be tough for you to break me.”

“I mean, take my video, put it out, whatever you want to dissect, and how you want to present me to the world. That’s how a business is, ‘di ba, black propaganda. You could do whatever; set my house on fire, but you will not break me again,” Heart declared.
