In a clip reposted on TikTok from her Instagram Live session, the local star said she didn’t want to talk about it at first because she “was super traumatized” by the incident. She, however, went on to recall that the procedure didn’t go well, sharing that she didn’t consult her dermatologist Dr. Aivee Teo before she had it done by a “very, very close” friend.

“Because when I got the lip filler, I went against Dra. Aivee. I didn’t do it with her. I did it with somebody that was very, very close to me, but he didn’t have the license to do my lips. But I trusted him, Kumbaga, budol na budol ako, so ginawa ko ‘yung lip filler,” Heart shared.

The actress said that the lip filler procedure made her lips look uneven. “Hindi ko alam kung anong nilagay niya si lips ko, but basically, uneven ‘yung lips ko, and you guys were bashing me about it.”

“I just didn’t want to tell you. Of course, I went to the same person. He’s not a doctor. I think he’s a nurse. Same person because, of course, they convinced me that they can fix it. It was super uneven, so, that’s why,” she said.

“Never tayo magpapabudol ever again,” she added. “I was like, ‘Uh!’ Actually, technically, pwedeng makulong kasi wala siyang lisensiya, malpractice pa.”

Heart recalled that she felt pain and swelling on her lips after the experience. “It was so bad. So, anyway, I had a doctor really, like, have to take it out and fix it because it was really, really bad.”

“You know, when you trust, sometimes, tanga, naniwala. So, ‘yun. So, yeah, I did my lips before,” she said. “I really thought that mahal ako ng taong yun, pero na-malpractice ako. So, ‘yun. So, good luck.”

According to Cleveland Clinic, lip fillers are “injections that add volume to your lips.” They last from 12 to 18 months, though it still “depends on your age and how fast your body breaks down calories into energy.” The clinic noted that since younger people are able to burn calories faster, lip fillers “don’t last as long.”
