It’s Showtime host Amy Perez could not help but be emotional as she recalled the time when she needed to let go of her son so that he could live independently while attending college.
“‘Yan ang greatest sacrifice ng mga magulang, ‘yung i-let go ang anak, na hayaan lumipad, mag-grow pero kung magkamali man andun pa rin ‘yung magulang, andun pa rin ‘yung nanay ready to accept and give advice,” Amy opened up during the “Expecially For You” segment of It’s Showtime, relating to the experience of searcher Rosana.
Amy relayed that when her first son Adi started college, the latter had to live in a place near the school.

Pero at one point bilang isang nanay parang it was the hardest thing to accept na i-let go siya,” she recounted.
Amy remarked that she is proud that her son kept the values and the lessons that she taught him despite the distance.
Amy shared that she hangs out every weekend with her son and her other children which she dubbed as their “Sondate.”
“Regular pa rin kaming nagkikita. Meron kaming ‘Sondate’ eh pag Sunday….
Amy remarked that she is proud of how her son grew up into the good person that he is today.
