The personal life of actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto has once again captured public attention following the release of a private conversation that seemingly confirmed rumors of her split from husband Trevor Magallanes.

Magallanes, a financial analyst based in the US, recently took to Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of an emotionally charged exchange between him and Quinto. The conversation, fraught with tension, featured Quinto expressing her readiness to leave their relationship.

“Just shut up and I’m leaving you forever. Just let me leave peacefully, and hope u okay [sic],” Quinto wrote. She also mentioned her intent to return to the Philippines with their daughter, Athena, stating, “If you want me out of your life it’s ok, just don’t be mean to me. I need support for Athena; she just needs her dad to see her.”

The couple, who tied the knot on November 25, 2016, in Quezon City, have faced mounting speculation about their relationship status. Magallanes was notably absent from Athena’s birthday celebration this year, as well as from last year’s Christmas family photos.

Netizens were quick to draw parallels between Magallanes’ post and the growing trend of celebrities exposing private matters through social media screenshots. This incident comes in the wake of a similar controversy involving actors Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings, whose alleged affair was brought to light by Jennings’ ex-girlfriend via Instagram.
