Filipino actress Chie Filomeno found herself at the center of unexpected drama during her appearance at the DSF Al Rigga Night Market on Sunday (December 1).

Filomeno, who was attending the event as a special guest for the Shukran Festival, was hit by a pen thrown by an unidentified individual from the crowd.

 

The incident occurred while the actress was being interviewed on stage during the TFC Hour, a festival highlight featuring Filipino artists spreading joy to attendees at the popular Dubai night market. A video capturing the moment has since gone viral on TikTok, sparking mixed reactions from netizens.

In the video, Filomeno is seen momentarily startled after the pen struck her leg but quickly regained composure.

Fans expressed outrage over the disrespectful act, with many taking to social media to condemn the perpetrator. “Chie flew all the way to Dubai to entertain us. This is no way to treat someone who’s here to spread good vibes,” a TikTok user commented.

Despite the unexpected incident, Filomeno completed her segment and continued engaging with fans. She has not spoken out about it.
