Content creator Andi Eigenmann got her new palm leaf tattoo in honor of her mom, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, days before the latter’s first death anniversary.

Andi Eigenmann showed her latest tattoo and it is dedicated to her late mom, award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose.

In an Instagram post, the content creator showed photos of her showing the palm leaf tattoo on her arm, which she got days before her mother’s first death anniversary.

According to Andi, her tattoo has multiple meanings “all relating to the facets of her being that I would also like to embody.”

The former actress said that her tattoo represents her mom’s strength as the latter remained strong despite challenges in life. Andi also said that this is the most admirable thing about the veteran star.

Andi then explained that the palm leaf tattoo also means victory, saying, “Growing up was special, witnessing someone first hand, constantly refining her craft, always striving for excellence in doing what she loved most. Her dedication to evolving in her art was a testament to her passion. What a privilege to have this woman as my mother.”

“She won many accolades for this, and the First Asian Palm d’Or winner for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival so far, is just one of them. I’ll always cherish this moment, and the fact that she chose to share this with me,” she added.

Andi added that her tattoo means eternal life as her mother will always and forever live in her.

Aside from this, Andi also said that in almost a year of grieving for her mom, she always thought of ways on how to honor her in the best way.

“Recently, I’ve come to realise that there is no better way than to take a good look at this life that she gave me, the best gift she could give, and to continue to treasure and cherish it by living it the best way I know how. Just as she would always want me to,” shared Andi.

“As grief changes me, I would like to carry these facets [of] who she was, alongside those of mine that I know she always loved. This journey of grief has been long and tough, and quite frankly, sometimes dark. But I believe that the love you showered me with should be enough to trust that I will again see the light.”

Jaclyn Jose passed away on March 2, 2024 due to heart attack, as revealed by Andi in a press conference.
