AIAI DELAS ALAS – The Queen of Comedy admitted that she refused to communicate with her ex-husband, Gerald Sibayan, since they broke up.

In November, countless Filipinos were shocked when AiAi confirmed her separation with Gerald Sibayan on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. Their separation is one of the biggest and the most unexpected celebrity breakups in 2024 as they were together for 10 years already.

AiAi and Gerald were together for around three (3) years already when they decided to officially tie the knot. They had a star-studded church wedding in 2017 and they have their renewal of vows in 2022 in Las Vegas.

Upon confirming her breakup with Gerald Sibayan, AiAi delas Alas claimed that he is no longer happy in their marriage. The Comedy Queen said she’s in the Philippines when she received a message from Gerald who is in U.S. telling her that he is no longer happy and he wants to have a child.

According to AiAi, they tried in-vitro fertilization or IVF and they still have one (1) egg. She shared his claim that he is hurt everytime that their IVF trial fails and they lose the egg. Despite the claim of her estranged husband, the actress admitted her gut feeling that there is a third party in their separation.

Gerald Sibayan is now a Green Cardholder in the United States after AiAi delas Alas who is a U.S. resident has petitioned him. Meanwhile, the Comedy Queen said she has no plan of revoking his Green Card and it is her help to him who is still her husband.

Gerald has also gained a license to fly aircrafts when they were still together. Countless people including their closest family and friends were surprised by their separation as AiAi has even decided to move abroad to support her husband in his work.

Recently, still on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, AiAi delas Alas spoke on her communication with Gerald Sibayan. The Comedy Queen admitted that she refuses to directly communicate with Gerald and they have not talked since he broke up with her.

“I refused to. From the time na ‘yung sinabi niya ‘yon sa akin, hindi na ako nakipag-communicate sa kaniya. Nakikipag-communicate ako sa kaniya through some people like my son-in-law, ganyan, tapos ‘yung mga ibang tao. Pero ako, direktang [no],” AiAi said.
