Belle Mariano recalls in first vlog how she joined Goin’ Bulilit

Belle Mariano recalls how she joined Goin’ Bulilit with the help of director Bobot Mortiz: “Sabi niya sa akin na parang, ‘Uy, salang ka, salang ka sa isang skit namin.’ So ako, game kasi I really want to.

Belle Mariano looked back on her showbiz beginnings in the first episode of her newly launched YouTube channel.

On July 2, 2022, the He’s Into Her lead star uploaded her first-ever vlog titled “All About Firsts by Belle Mariano,” where she talked about different firsts in her life.

One of the questions asked was: “What was your first audition?”

To answer this, Belle recalled how she started as part of ABS-CBN’s defunct kiddie gag show, Goin’ Bulilit in 2012. At the time, she was nine years old.

Talking about how she joined the show’s cast, Belle revealed, “Actually, hindi siya audition.”

According to Belle, she just accompanied her friend to a Goin’ Bulilit taping that day.

To her surprise, Director Bobot Mortiz asked her to join one skit.

Belle recalled, “Sabi niya sa akin na parang, ‘Uy, salang ka, salang ka sa isang skit namin.’

“So ako, game, kasi I really want to.”

From then on, Belle was invited to come back to the show every week, until she eventually became a regular on the show.

Back to her first “audition” experience, Belle continued, “Hindi siya really an audition for me because parang na-invite lang ako doon, and I enjoyed it.

“I really enjoyed it, because ever since I wanted to be on those types of shows since growing up, nanunuod na ako ng Barney.”

Belle also recalled her first teleserye, the 2012 prime-time series Lorenzo’s Time starring Zaijian Jaranilla and Carmina Villarroel.

“It was a fun experience,” Belle said about doing Lorenzo’s Time and Goin’ Bulilit at the same time.

REALIZING SHE HAS FANS

Belle is the other half of the DonBelle love team with Donny Pangilinan, her leading man in He’s Into Her.

The DonBelle love team has millions of fans, many of whom launch campaigns that result in Belle and Donny’s names becoming trending topics on Twitter.

It was through Twitter that Belle realized for the first time that she has fans.

She said, “I think, na-realize ko when I started to use Twitter. They are commenting and giving feedback about my acting, my posts.

“I don’t remember when. Pero check niyo na lang po yung Twitter ko, kung kailan po ako nag-start.”

At the end of the video, Belle talked about her first vlogging experience.

“Siguro, me, talking to the camera and stuff, I did a vlog before and I never worked out guys.

“Ni-try ko talaga, ang hirap ng edit, ang hirap lahat. Pero iyong as in talaga na prepared ako, it’s this one,” she added.

At press time, Belle has already garnered over 90.3k followers prior to her official launch.
