At 41, the former beauty queen has gone from 83 kilos (183 pounds) to 65 kilos (143 pounds) in just five months.
Her current weight is considered healthy for her height—5’10”—based on the Body Mass Index (BMI) published on the website of National Institutes of Health (NIH).
On Instagram, Priscilla wrote that her transformation wasn’t due to “a magic pill or a surgical procedure.”
In a nutshell, she summed up her journey: “It was all about unwavering focus, determination, and a complete overhaul of my lifestyle and diet. Along the way, I embraced detoxing, too.”

Integrating workouts into her lifestyle was a gradual process.
She started with light exercises in mid-2024 and transitioned to more intense routines in the latter part of the year.

“I underwent a surgical procedure to remove an endometrial cyst located near my rectus abdominal muscles in April 2024.
Three to four months after the procedure, my doctors cleared me to return to light exercise, and I immediately got started.
“Two to three months into my journey, my doctors cleared me for unrestricted full-body workouts with the guidance of my gym coach, Coach Jay Garcia.”
Coach Jay played a pivotal role in her journey.
“I hired a highly qualified fitness coach, Coach Jay Garcia, to address my back problem while ensuring that I maintain my appearance and achieve results quickly and safely.”

Priscilla Meirelles: Workout Routine
How often does she hit the gym?
“I now dedicate 2-3 hours to exercise every morning, seven days a week.”
She broke down her routine:
“It includes a pre-workout session consisting of planks and ab exercises provided by Coach Jay.
“This is followed by a 40-minute to 1-hour weight training session, and then I spend another 40 minutes to 1 hour on the treadmill, combining brisk walking, sprints, and running on inclined mode.
“I also go to the sauna for 10 to 15 minutes every day after my workouts.”
The dedication and discipline required for such a routine are immense, but the results make it all worthwhile.
“So far, so good. My abs are becoming visible, and my back, legs, and arms are getting more toned.
“I am 3 to 4 sizes smaller in clothing, and I feel stronger, happier, and more energetic.
“The more results I saw, the more inspired I became to push myself further. Now I finally have time for myself, and nothing and no one is holding me back.
“I have always been an active person, both at the gym and in sports, starting from my beauty pageant days.
“Now, as a full-time mother and working mom, I ensure that I go to the gym every day, no matter what.
“The best times for me to fit in my workouts are right after school drop-off or later in the day, at night.
“I report to Coach Jay daily, and he follows up and sends me a workout routine daily. We meet once a week for the killing, and so far that has been working pretty well for me.
“Four months later, I’ve lost 18 kilograms, and this is just the beginning of my life-changing journey.”
Priscilla Meirelles: Target Weight
Initially, Priscilla set her goal at 74 kilograms based on her height and body type.
However, as her transformation progressed, her target weight kept changing.
“However, as I continued to focus on and enjoy the transformation I was experiencing, my target weight changed to 72 kg, then 70 kg, 69 kg, 68 kg, and so on.
“Every time I reported my weight to Coach Jay, he would suggest, ‘I think we can go down 2 more kg,’ and a new target weight would be set.
“Today, I weigh 65 kg, and Coach Jay believes we can reach 63 kg, but I let him know that I can’t make any promises. This led to our inside joke about my weight and my fear of reporting it to him.
“I want to emphasize the importance of having a great support system; I’m grateful for my family, professionals, and friends who have always been there for me.”
Does her unica hija join her workouts?
“Anechka is very active in school sports. She has a full academic schedule and is just 12 years old, so the only way we bond through exercise is by playing basketball or badminton together.”
Priscilla Meirelles: MOTIVATION
After six months of dedication, what keeps Priscilla motivated?
The Miss Earth 2004 titleholder replied:
“I am moved by passion. I cannot function when my heart is not in the right place. A lot has happened since I last looked in the mirror and recognized ‘Priscilla’—the person I tried to be and who I must become.
“I realized that sometimes one must lose to win, and this understanding made my transformation possible. A flower can never blossom in the dark, so I knew what had to be done.”
