Belle Mariano Talks About How Donny Pangilinan Inspires Her to Work Harder

DonBelle’s “Can’t Buy Me Love” is yet to premiere, but the kilig vibes came early as Belle Mariano talks about how Donny Pangilinan inspires her to work harder!

During the upcoming show’s press conference, Donny first shared his experience behind the scenes of “Can’t Buy Me Love” while working with Belle. According to the actor, Belle’s performance during filming still surprises him despite having worked with her in the past.

“I was able to discover na kaya pa pala niyang maging mas mahusay. Ang galing. I thought that, you know, she’s been in the industry for quite some time, ever since she was a kid. She knows her craft [so] ‘yung atake niya, ganun na lang. But no, she always surprises me and everyone with the performances she gives,” he reportedly said. “It’s more of a surprise to me na ‘yung mga binibigay niya sa mga scenes, she can do more, mas magaling and mas nag-exert pa ng ibang atake. It’s always a proud moment for me when I see that.”

Belle, on the other hand, owed it to her leading man. She credited Donny’s performance as what inspired her to bring it to the next level. She said, “For me, mas nagiging evident kung gaano siya [Donny] kapursigido sa ginagawa niya. Like, the more I work with him, it actually also inspires me to work even harder, so I’m happy to go through this journey with him.”

Donny feels the same way. “I’m just very blessed to go through this with you [Belle]. And I hope you, guys, see that in this and I hope that reflects what the story is all about,” he added.

“Can’t Buy Me Love” will be available to stream on Netflix starting October 13, three days ahead of its television premiere on October 16 via the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5. It will also be available on the iWantTFC app (iOS and Android) and iwanttfc.com starting October 14.

Directed by Mae Cruz Alviar, the Star Creatives series delves into the unconventional love story of Bingo (Donny), a diligent man devoted to his family, and Caroline (Belle), a rebellious heiress. Watch the full trailer of “Can’t Buy Me Love” below!
