When we hear the name Matet de Leon (Maria Theresa Villamayor in real life), we often remember her as one of the most prominent child stars in the ’80s.

The daughter of two Philippine showbiz royalties — Superstar Nora Aunor and seasoned actor Christopher de Leon — Matet was able to move out from her parents’ shadows by carving her own career as an actress both in TV and film.

Aside from her showbiz life, Matet is a doting mother to her three children with her loyal husband, basketball player-turned-chef Mickey Estrada.

According to reports, Matet began acting on TV in 2001 via the soap ‘Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan.’
