Alexa Ilacad is admired by many for her fearless and straightforward attitude, which we definitely saw during a round of “Drink It” Challenge on Kapamilya Chat.
In this segment, Alexa faced a series of questions, and if she didn’t want to answer one, she had to take a shot of a mystery drink. But knowing her ‘palaban’ spirit, she didn’t shy away from most questions—except for one. Keep reading to find out which one made her back out!
We also appreciated her honesty when she talked about her biggest regret. She took us back to her younger days, probably when she was still on “Goin’ Bulilit” and was invited to a mall show, for which she didn’t rehearse. She also ignored her mom’s advice to drink tea to protect her voice. Confident that she could pull it off without practice, she ended up facing major embarrassment when the performance fell flat. That moment changed her perspective and still haunts her today. “Simula noon, talagang, never again will I take anything for granted,” she shared, adding that she promised herself to always put in the effort and practice.
Alexa, who stars in the heartwarming film “Mujigae” with Korean actor Kim Ji Soon, is also quite straightforward when it comes to sharing her pet peeves at work. Her biggest annoyance? “Ayaw ko ng paulit-ulit.” This can be challenging in acting, where multiple takes are common. Although it’s a pet peeve, she’s learning to cope because she understands it’s part of the job.
She also dislikes delays but recognizes that some situations are unavoidable in the industry. However, she really gets triggered when delays are caused by a co-actor who is unprepared or not taking their role seriously. “Okay lang naman magkamali kasi kahit ako nagkakamali, pero iba kasi ‘yung unprepared, ‘yung arrogance na you didn’t study or kakarating mo lang,” she explained.
While some might feel intimidated working alongside veterans, Alexa is so fearless that she’s ready to collaborate with anyone. After working with Maricel Soriano, one of the greatest actresses in the industry, she now feels equipped to tackle whatever challenge comes her way.
When asked who her favorite host is among the “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” family, she found it tough to choose. She couldn’t pick just one because all her co-hosts—Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, Enchong Dee, Kim Chiu, and Melai Cantiveros—bring their own unique flair to the show. Instead of answering, she opted to take a drink!
