Kim Chiu admits to wearing clothes from ukay
MANILA – Although Kim Chiu is often seen wearing well-known clothing brands, the actress and host admitted that she also wore clothes from ukay-ukay.

In an interview with PUSH, Chiu shared that she often bought pants and even gowns from ukay-ukay back then.

She said that the gown she wore when she attended the JS Prom when she was in High School was supposedly from ukay-ukay.

“There are so many memorable finds. There are pants, there are tops. Most especially there are gowns for the JS prom. The one I wore to the JS prom was ukay. Then I even won Lady of the Night, it seems,” said Chiu.

This is perfect for the actress’s starring role in the limited series on Amazon Prime Video called “Fit Check: Confessions of an Ukay Queen.”

According to her, she became completely obsessed with ukay-ukay because of her sister who she said was into fashion from a young age.

“So I always borrow her clothes. She’s the one who really buys since I was little, I haven’t bought any yet. So I borrow her ukay finds,” the “It’s Showtime!” host said.

Chiu will lead the said comedy-drama series with Jake Ejercito, Angel Aquino and Kylie Verzosa. “Fit Check” will follow the story of Melanie (Chiu) who continued her father’s ukay-ukay business, “Ukay King.” But the said business burned down, causing them to go into huge debt.
