Jake Zyrus Revelation About Finances Handled By Raquel Pempengco Before

This issue resurfaced regarding Jake Zyrus and Raquel Pempengco

Singer Jake Zyrus had a revelation in his book I Am Jake about his finances as Charice Pempengco, which was handled by his mother Raquel Pempengco.

Charice’s music career was a big hit. She was starting to earn global recognition back then, had the chance to work with hitmaker David Foster and diva Celine Dion.

However, when the transition happened in his life, the status he had in the music industry also changed and his relationship with his mother also took a turn.

Just recently, Jake Zyrus’s book that was released in 2018 caught netizens’ attention once again because of the snippets shared by social media personality Xian Gaza in which the singer talked about the abuse he received from an uncle as a young Charice.

In the same book, based on the article in Bandera, Jake also made a revelation about his finances during the height of Charice’s career.

Jake shared that his net worth at that time reached $16,000,000, approximately P927,000,000. He said that he only knew about this when he met his accountant.

“When I sang at private events, I could get up to $300,000. Endorsement in States earned me up to $1,000,000. At one point, my net worth was $16,000,000,” he said in his book.

Then, Jake said that at that time, it was his mother Raquel Pempengco who was handling his finances. “I’m not worth $16,000,000 anymore, but I assure you, I am richer than Charice. She only knew how much she was worth, but she never actually got to touch or enjoy her earnings,” Jake said.

He also said that even though he saw houses and cars bought with Charice’s money, but the singer was told that he did not own those properties. “If I needed to use one of our cars, I had to ask permission from my mother,” he revealed.

Jake Zyrus said that sometimes his mother would refuse to give what he requested. With that, Charice back then, wished to have properties under her name
