Geisler arrested over trouble at Quezon City bar
Baron Geisler talks to members of media at the QCPD Station 10 Monday night
Police accosted Geisler, 35, for a commotion that took place at around 9 p.m. at TGIF along Tomas Morato Avenue in Barangay South Triangle.
Geisler underwent inquest proceedings at the Quezon City prosecutor’s office at around 11:30 a.m. yesterday for unjust vexation and alarm and scandal.
Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, said in a text message that the troubled actor faces 30 days in jail and a P200 fine.
A police report said Geisler shouted profanities at two male customers and even challenged a security guard to a fistfight. He was brought to QCPD Station 10, where he shared a detention cell with about 30 other inmates.
The bar previously banned Geisler because of his unruly behavior. However, the general manager allowed the actor to go inside as an act of courtesy.
Geisler was drinking at the bar about three hours when he cursed at two male customers. He also shouted at a security guard who tried to pacify him.
The actor yesterday complained police officers were power tripping, saying he could not understand why he was in handcuffs even while inside detention.
“I’m already detained but still handcuffed. Is this normal?” Geisler told reporters. Some of the police officers just shook their heads as the actor went on with his tirades.
However, police only handcuffed him when he was about to be subjected to inquest proceedings.
Geisler made fun of a fellow inmate and cursed at members of media who tried to take his photograph.
