Emotional, Matet De Leon speaks about her relationship with Nora Aunor, her mother.

MATET DE LEON – In the past week, Matet De Leon revealed the brewing issue with Nora Aunor, and here are her “hinanakit”.

Last week, Matet de Leon felt that she was “betrayed” by her adoptive mom Nora Aunor. She felt this way after her mother competed with her gourmet business and noted in her sentiments that the veteran actress accordingly did not treat her as her own child.

She was clueless why would she compete with her business. Matet and Kenneth, along with Lotlot and Kiko are the adoptive children of the actress with her ex-husband Christopher De Leon. The former couple’s only biological child is Ian De Leon.

She even quipped: “Ampon na ampon yung pakiramdam ko ngayon.”

And in an interview with Ogie Diaz, following the rough patch because of the issues in the business, she further aired her sentiments. She did not disclose any specifics but she did mention that not everything shown and shared with the public is not the way it seems in reality.

This time, she feels like she needs to speak up to defend herself and her family because, in their lives, they felt like they were “nakabusal” and “parang nakatali”. What they can do and what they can say have to be limited in order to protect her.

“Mahirap. Ayaw namin siyang masira kaya nagpapasampal kami sa mga tao. Kung pagsalitaan kami, akala mo nakatira sa bahay. Pero yung mismong nakatira sa bahay namin, na alam kung ano nangyayari, sila yung hindi nagsasalita,” she said.

According to her, all of them are now struggling to live because opportunities in showbiz for them are rare. Her gourmet business is her family’s source of income.

She has talked to her regarding the issues of their business and when she’d ask her what her point was, the superstar would accordingly just exclaim that she is no longer respected by her children.

In the same interview, she added, “Ang respeto yata na gusto eh itigil ko na yung akin to make way for hers. Eh Ogie, wala na akong trabaho, kaya nga nagne-negosyo kami ng asawa ko eh.”
