The family of actress and businesswoman Neri Miranda is beyond grateful after the court dismissed all cases filed against her in connection with the alleged investment scam.

Her husband Chito Miranda posted the official statement dismissing all complaints filed against him by the complainants.

Based on the official statement from Neri’s legal counsel (FLO Attorneys), the Pasay City Regional Trial Court has dismissed all pending cases against the actress.

Among the dismissed cases filed at Branch 112 of the Pasay RTC is syndicated estafa, “Upon motion of the Office of the City Prosecutor of Pasay City, which found no probable cause to indict Miranda upon reinvestigation sought by her legal counsel.”

Neri’s lawyers thanked the court for the decision, “We thank the courts for clearing the name of Neri Miranda, who has unmistakably been falsely accused of wrongdoing in the Dermacare case.

“We hope that this issue will be put to rest as regards Neri, so that instrumentalities of the law can focus on bringing the true perpetrators of the Dermacare scam to justice,” said the official statement.

Acting Presiding Judge Ronald August L. Tan said, “The private complainants never alleged being defrauded by (Miranda). More mind-boggling is that private complainants never asserted having personally transacted with or handed over money to (Miranda). “Therefore, the evidence presented indeed fails to establish that (Miranda) committed the crime of Estafa, moreso, Syndicated Estafa.”

Another complaint against Neri related to the complaint of “violation of the Securities Regulation Code” has also been dismissed based on the decision of Acting Presiding Judge Gina M. Bibat-Palamos of RTC Pasay City Branch 111.
