Boboy Garrovillo was asked about the Jim Paredes Scandal

The showbiz industry in the Philippines was shocked by a controversial video showing veteran singer-songwriter Jim Paredes doing an inappropriate thing.

This circulated on social media in 2019. He received online bashing as he became a trending topic on various social media platforms. Initially, Jim denied that the man in the video was him.

However, he eventually admitted that it was indeed him through his blog. For quite some time, Jim went silent, and later on, the controversy died down.

A few months later, he had his music comeback. He announced in September 2019 that he would return to making music.

In a recent interview on Lutong Bahay, the cooking talk show on GTV hosted by Mikee Quintos, Boboy Garrovillo was asked about the past scandal involving Jim Paredes. Based on the article in Bandera, he was asked about his reaction when that happened.

If he does not answer, he will eat a chosen secret food as a consequence. At first, he did not want to answer but decided to share his thoughts. Boboy answered this with, “Sige. Nagalit ako. Wala na ha!”

In the same interview, Boboy was asked who among the celebrities he worked with before and who he did not want to work with anymore.

The veteran singer-actor did not say his answer on air and he just said to the host, “Gusto kong sabihin pero ayaw ko. Ibubulong ko na lang sa inyo pagkatapos.”

It seemed that he was not at ease with not saying his answer, Boboy gave a clue. He said that the name of this celebrity starts with “W.”

Boboy Garrovillo was also asked to share his message with the late APO Hiking Society member Danny Javier. “I really miss you, especially when we have very, very successful shows. We wish we could share it with you. I’m sure, tumatalun-talon ka rin sa langit,” he said.

Boboy added that for 45 years had been performing together and Danny was their spokesperson on stage and the one who led all their banters. He also mentioned that last year, he and Jim Paredes started doing concerts again and they can really feel the void that Danny left
