Gary V now recovering from illness, dehydration

MANILA — Pop singer Gary Valenciano is on his way to recovery a day after being hospitalized midway through his concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

In a post on his social media page, Team Gary V gave updates regarding his condition.

“We thank everyone for your expressions of care and concern for Gary.  We are especially thankful for the outpouring of prayers with us for his recovery,” they said.

“God is gracious, all Gary’s vital signs and blood test results are normal; he is recovering from a bout of repeated vomiting before the concert yesterday, and as a result, dehydration.”

Team Gary V said it is meeting with the doctors and will make an announcement regarding his Dec. 22 concert schedule

On Friday, Valenciano felt ill after eating which caused him to throw up repeatedly before his “Pure Energy: One More Time” concert.

He was discouraged to do the show but insisted. He sang about 7-8 songs and before asking the crowd if it was okay for him to end the show early.
