On Saturday, June 29, Mariel Rodriguez and husband Robin Padilla revealed privately the gender of their second baby, whom they fondly tagged as Baby “Surprise.”

Those in the know, the close friends and family members that were gathered that day for their gender reveal party at The Bellevue Manila, were told to hold off on any announcement.

Mariel wanted to be the one to do it, and did it the following day, June 30, through her YouTube channel at exactly 9 p.m.
