Jake Cuenca on Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino: ‘They are very good for one another’

MANILA — Kapamilya star Jake Cuenca has expressed his excitement for his upcoming TV project, although details remain under wraps. The award-winning actor has kept quiet about the specifics, including the actresses he’ll be working with, but shared that filming will begin soon.
Cuenca’s most recent TV project was the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?”, where he starred alongside Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino. Since then, rumors have circulated about a budding romance between Chiu and Avelino.
When asked about the real score between the two, Cuenca, with a big smile, answered: “My friend is gonna disown me… I don’t know honestly.”
“Being a friend of the two, I can only say na, at least during [the filming of] ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’ I can see that they are very good for one another,” he added.
Cuenca said he saw Chiu’s influence on Avelino, but refused to go into detail.
But one thing is for sure: from Cuenca’s perspective, “He lights up when Kim is around.”
