Robin Padilla surprised Mariel Rodriguez when he appeared live on TV5’s noontime show “Wowowillie” on Thursday, February 7, to make his wife wear their wedding ring, again.

Apparently, Mariel Rodriguez got very jealous when she saw the wedding and honeymoon scene of Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino on last Tuesday’s episode of his husband’s teleserye on ABS-CBN, “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE). Mariel was so affected by the love scene on the said episode that she returned her wedding ring to Robin. She also expressed her feelings of jealousy on her Instagram account where some netizens bashed her posts.

Yesterday, February 7, Robin made a surprise visit to his wife at the backstage of “Wowowillie.” But Willie Revillame called the Kapamilya action star to grace the stage to air his piece.

Robin aired his disappointment towards his wife’s bashers on social media.

“I had to come here suddenly because I just want to defend my wife. My wife is so poor that she is almost crucified on social media. She is already very much a victim. Maybe all the women here will believe me that my wife is naturally jealous and it is not bad to be jealous because it means she loves me,” he said.

Robin revealed that Mariel returned her wedding ring to him after their altercation.

“You know, Brother Willie, Brother Willie, even if we were in a batch. What happened to us was very serious. The truth is, the ring was returned to me. I was not joking, and other people thought my wife was fooling around, no, we don’t know how to play the fool,” he said.

Robin also called out wife’s bashers.

“My wife’s feelings are all true, so I hope whoever is criticizing and hurting my wife, thank God I don’t see you on TV, thank God, because social media is where people are getting angry because they can’t see you,” he said.
