Kim Chiu, the queen of the small screen, has just made fans “stirred up” when she broke her silence about the rumors surrounding her relationship with handsome actor Paulo Avelino. In a recent interview, Kim did not hesitate to answer questions related to the special connection between the two.

When asked about Paulo, Kim admitted: “Paulo is a good friend, and he always knows how to make people around him feel comfortable. We really like each other.” This ambiguous answer has made fans curious about the level of their closeness.

Kim also clarified that the relationship between her and Paulo is just friends. “I understand that people often make assumptions, but the truth is that between Paulo and I, there is nothing more than friendship. He is a great colleague, and I always respect him.”

MANILA — Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino candidly said yes to a mini question-and-answer game when they sat down with ABS-CBN News to talk about their latest project — the Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?”

First they played rock-paper-scissors, and whoever loses gets the burden to answer the question, to be drawn and asked by the winner.

Chiu lost first, and Avelino asked: “What is cute about me?”

Without wasting any second, the actress replied: “Everything. Cute naman siya, kasi hindi siya nagsasalita. Ako na lang magsasalita.”

At round two, Chiu lost again and Avelino asked: “Hypothetical lang, kung magiging tayo ano ang gusto mong magiging tawagan natin?

This time, Chiu took a few seconds to think of an answer: “Napaka-OA… ‘Mine.’ Hypothetical lang, kayo naman kung makatawa kayo.”

On the third round, the Kapamilya actress finally won and got to ask Avelino, “Nagkatampuhan tayo, paano mo ‘ko susuyuin?”

Staring at blank space, the actor took the time to think of an answer and said: “Siguro, papakainin na lang kita ‘pag break. Papadalhan na lang kita ng favorite mong pagkain.”

Chiu rebutted: “Ano ba favorite ko?”

Avelino replied: “Tinapay. Pansit. Na naka-korteng ‘SORRY’ per strand.”

Chiu begged to ask the last question to Avelino: “What is my sweetest trait?”

He said in response: “Madami kasi, iniisip ko ‘yung sweetest. I think your sweetest trait is, you have genuine care for others. So parang sa set, kahit sino sa set, parang her care for others is very genuine.”
