‘Eat Bulaga,’ loses in ratings against ‘It’s Showtime’
“Eat Bulaga” is said to be just a step behind its noontime rival show “It’s Showtime” in its high ratings.

In the latest episode of “Showbiz Now Na” on Friday, April 12, showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin denied the news that “Eat Bulaga” and Media Quest had an emergency meeting.

“Those who are spreading the story that Tito, Vic, Joey and Media Quest had an emergency meeting, that is not true. First of all, what reason do they need for an emergency meeting?” said Cristy.

“The opening, it was true. But on Monday and Tuesday, while ‘It’s Showtime’ was under pressure and they really didn’t know what to do, Eat Bulaga was taped on Monday and Tuesday,” he said.

The showbiz columnist added: “‘Is that what was pressured? ‘The one you told me was taped? Chillax na chillax. Nag gogolf ang mga bida. Chillax na chillax ang mga Dabarkads.”

In addition, Cristy also denied the rumor that Eat Bulaga is losing money. This was after Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People Ratings released the ratings between the two aforementioned noontime shows last Saturday, April 6.
