Kapuso celebrity couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo tied the knot in 2021 in an intimate wedding. There was an ongoing pandemic at that time and with the delicate pregnancy of the actress back, they had to come up with such a decision.

That day was memorable for them in a funny way. During the ceremony, the actor picked up the wrong box for the wedding ring and as a pregnant woman, she was immediately in rage. Good thing though because their house is just minutes away from where they held the ceremony. But still, she was mad at him for picking up the wrong.

The Kapuso Ultimate Star turned emotional upon recalling that phase of their lives. She admitted casting doubts about him and his intention to marry her because, at that time, she was already pregnant. She can’t help back then but think that he only wanted to marry her because they were having a baby.

Dennis, on his part, assured him that it wasn’t the reason.

“Pero hindi naman ‘yun ‘yung dahilan kasi noon pa lang, bago pa kami magpakasal, bago pa mag-pandemic at lahat, parang asawa na rin ‘yung turingan namin sa isa’t isa,” he said during their recent interview with Boy Abunda.
