What kind of mother is Superstar and National Artist Nora Aunor according to the description of her daughter, actress Matet De Leon?

In the latest episode of Kapamilya broadcast-journalist Bernadette Sembrano’s vlog on Saturday, July 20, Matet revealed that Nora is a strict mother.

“She’s a strict mom. Very strict. But mommy is gentle and playful. ‘When she has time, she would play with us,” Matet said.

“‘When she has time, is it because she’s busy?” Bernadette Super prodded,” the actress confirmed. “Like most of the time, throughout our childhood, mommy was more busy than just being at home to play with us.”

However, they said they understand their mother’s busyness because they know who she’s doing it for.

It can be recalled that in an interview in October 2023, Matet also shared what he should have done to be a good daughter to Nora.

On December 4, 2022, Matet first expressed her feelings about her mother’s alleged direct opposition to her business. According to the actress, she feels like her adoptive mother is cheating on her and making her look like she’s “just an adoptee.”

In Ogie Diaz’s latest YouTube vlog, Matet once again expressed her resentment against her mother.

To this day, she is still very angry about what Nora did, especially since she found out that they had been planning this for a long time and had only kept it a secret from her.

Matet said, “They kept it from me, because my brother’s girlfriend—both of them—were among those who set it up.

“I’m close to Mommy, just last week, we had no problems. So, that’s it, just last week and then they didn’t tell me, that’s what’s bothering me.

“I’m still with [my brother’s] girlfriend because they’re moving near our house. The guy looks at me in the eyes as if nothing happened.”

He continued, “Why didn’t you tell me if you didn’t have any intention of teasing? That’s all I’m annoyed about.

“But if he wants to sell now [no problem]. The Philippines is big, my market isn’t just Noranians.

“To be honest, in Noranians, maybe not even twenty people have ordered since I started.”

Matet did not name the “brother” he was referring to. But in Matet’s YouTube live on December 4, he mentioned his brother Kenneth’s name. Matet said then: “This is it. This brother of mine, Kenneth, is he your brother? You’re an idiot. That’s crazy, huh. Well, he’s not my brother because he’s just an adopted son.

“They say, if Mommy wants to do business, I’ll just let her go. I’ll just resell Mommy’s product and we’ll work together.”

Like Matet, Kenneth is also Nora’s adopted son. The Superstar’s other two adopted sons are Lotlot de Leon and Kiko.

Ian de Leon is the only biological son of Nora and Christopher.

Back to Ogie’s interview with him, Matet said that he doesn’t know if he did anything wrong to his mother to betray and hurt her like this now.

He further declared: “I’ll never talk to her again.

“No more. Because, it seems to me, I’ve done everything, huh.

“Every time people fight with her, they call her an addict, they do that to her, it hurts me so much.

“‘Why do you call my mommy that?’ I’m the first to fight in the comments. I’m so squammy, right? I’m the squatter.

“But I don’t care, don’t hurt my mom’s feelings.

“I’m the first to do that. Because my siblings, the socialites, eh, I’m not, I’m really a joker.”

He retorted, “I’m the first to support you, I’m the first, and then this?

“I don’t know how he did that to me.”
