I’M GETTING A JOB FOR MY CHILD

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga on ‘Toni Talks’, actor Mark Herras spoke out about the viral video in which he was seen dancing at a gay bar.

Mark Herras sa mga minamasama pagsayaw niya sa gay bar: 'Wala akong pakialam!'

“My goal was to provide.

I didn’t strip. I performed. I did hip-hop. I didn’t ask for a table or anything.

But because Filipinos are so bad at judging others, they think they have the right to judge other people’s lives.

I’m surprised it went viral. I’m glad someone defended it.

There were even other journalists who laughed when they told this story.

I said, ‘Are you really making fun of me?’

I’m not begging for mercy, but I’m at a stage in my life where I don’t care what they say anymore.

I’m not at a stage where I need to protect my career image.

I’m not neglecting [my career]. I’m really happy with what I’ve achieved. Well, it just so happens that there aren’t many offers anymore.

I just need to work. I was introduced to Apollo. Why not? It’s work! If I don’t accept those comments, will they support my family? No way.

I’m more likely to accept working for my child. “I don’t want to get to the point where my child has to beg others because I have nothing to give.”
