I chose to post this picture from this morning because literally & figuratively, my youngest is my pillar of strength. He knew yesterday was tough, I fell asleep before he did, but when I woke up, my tiny hand was being held under his very big one… before you were so weird why I was wearing pearls with my oversized men’s white shirt in my sleepwear- I read that pearls help balance hormonal fluctuations and they ease stress & anxiety. They are also supposed to enrich a person’s spiritual life & help in creating a caring & harmonious atmosphere at home or in the workplace. Pearls are also supposed to help love and prosperity surround the wearer.

Back in the Philippines: Kris Aquino prepares for new treatment amid health challenges

So yes, I sleep with my pearls on- there was a time several weeks ago when I was really feeling bad and I read up on all the gems that could help heal me, the staff staying with us were crazy because they said they felt I was ready to attend a wedding again on Crazy Rich Asians- even though my fatigue, body aches, and chronic urticaria attack were so bad at that time, I just laughed when Bimb said- mama, I hope you do realize that jewelry isn’t medicine?

Good night. Please remember that maybe now things may not be going the way you’d envisioned, but when you have FAMILY who love you for everything you are and you’re not, life may not be perfect but it can still be awesome.

Back in the Philippines: Kris Aquino prepares for new treatment amid health challenges

Kris Cojuangco Aquino has returned to the Philippines after two years in the US, where she sought advanced treatment for her three autoimmune conditions. In late June 2022, she was diagnosed with a fourth condition.

The former Presidential Daughter has faced ongoing health challenges. She has come back to the Philippines to begin her second round of immunosuppressant infusions—essentially a mild form of chemotherapy—in the next 2-3 weeks.

Needing the emotional support of family and close friends, Kris shared that her health journey has now become a fight for survival, focused on protecting her vital organs.

She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her adoptive family in the US, her medical team, and especially her son Bimby, who has been her greatest source of strength.
