For a long time, Kris Aquino has been an unwavering pillar of the Philippine entertainment industry. From her iconic talk shows, hit movies, to her social media powerhouse—there’s no doubt that she’s an institution. But amidst her battle with serious illness and major life changes, one question haunts many fans: Have her friends forgotten her?
Looking back, Kris Aquino is known for having close friends in the industry. It’s no secret that she’s helped, supported, and made many people happy. From her high-profile friendships with fellow artists, politicians, and businesspeople, there’s always been a vibrant community around her.
But as time goes by, the winds seem to have changed. Her usual companions have seemingly disappeared from her surroundings. The people she once considered family are now rarely seen or heard supporting her in public.
As Kris went through the biggest trials of her life—from her serious illness to her personal struggles with family and relationships—many fans noticed that few seemed to be vocal in their support.
“They couldn’t even post Kris, even a simple message of encouragement?” some netizens asked on social media. Many also noticed that amidst her updates about her treatment in America, it seemed like only a few of her former friends had expressed their condolences.
While this doesn’t mean that she’s been completely forgotten, there’s no denying that there’s been a change in her social circle. Once the queen of social gatherings, the constant center of attention—now, it seems like her world is slowly becoming quieter.
But despite the speculation, it also doesn’t mean that no one loves Kris anymore. In her latest posts, she shows that she’s not alone. There are still a few loyal friends who stick by her, whether quietly or publicly.
The question “Has she been forgotten?” may reflect not only her situation but also the reality of life. Sometimes, relationships we thought were meant to last a lifetime change. The people we once surrounded ourselves with have their own paths to follow. But true love and friendship don’t always have to be shown on social media or in the public eye.
Now that Kris Aquino is in a different phase of her life, she’s probably learned that not everything around you will last forever. And despite everything, one thing is for sure: Kris Aquino will never be someone you can easily forget.
She may not be as loud as she used to be, she may not always be surrounded by friends in front of the camera—her legacy, her impact on the industry, and the love of her true fans will remain forever.
And in the end, maybe it doesn’t matter who’s still there for her now. What matters more is who stayed—and who truly loves her in a quiet way.

In an interview with talent manager and TV host Boy Abunda on February 14, Kris admitted that prayer is not her only support now as she continues to go through her illness. “I want to thank you because people I do not know, people who have never met me, I don’t know you everywhere Boy,” Aquino continued.
According to the TV host who is currently receiving treatment in California, USA, the warm love for her from the Filipino community there is priceless and they continue to pray for her.
“Someone delivered food here, I was asleep, they brought prayer booklets, the community here in LA is so big and I barely go out, but when my son goes out they recognize [him]. And all of that, I haven’t encountered anyone who hasn’t told my children, my siblings and people who know they are my friends that they are praying for them and they say ‘he needs to get well, because we still have something waiting for him, we still want to watch him’. I can’t promise you that,” he added.
Although there is no certainty about his return to television, Kris assured that he will not just give up on the illness he is currently going through.
“There are so many things I can’t do, but this is my promise to you, I will not let you down because I have given up, there is no way in my view of life that I can give up, I have to fight, I will not humiliate myself in front of you because you have given me the best gift, your love and support and prayers,” he said.
For now, Aquino continues to ask for prayers and supplications to face the next six months of treatment.
