KC Concepcion reveals her biggest beauty regret
She also dreams of having her own make-up line.
KC Concepcion shocked to see her eyebrows so thin in her throwback photos. She says, “I was young. So, I’ll just use that as an excuse. I was too young to care.”It’s fun to look at throwback photos even when, sometimes, they bring back memories of awkward moments that make you ask now, “What was I thinking?”
Exactly how KC Concepcion felt looking at her old photos, shocked at seeing her thin eyebrows.
The 34-year-old actress/jewelry designer said, “Dati kasi, I wanted it super super clean, super thin.
“I hated my look when I was 16. Like, ang nipis ng eyebrows ko, and it didn’t even match my face kasi I have a jaw.
“But, yeah, you know, you live, you learn. I wished I played more with my eyes when I was in my teens and starting out in my modeling and sa TV.
“But it’s okay, I was young. So, I’ll just use that as an excuse. I was too young to care.”
KC has recovered long ago from her past beauty mistakes starting with her eyebrows, “Now I want them a little bit more thick and just brush up.”
She added, “I think it’s really more of like a bold lip and then really nude and natural face and eyes, and just hairy eyebrows.
“Nothing na masyadong [over done]. I like to show the natural hair sa eyebrows ko.”
The daughter of Sharon Cuneta shared this story with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the launch of Shiseido Synchro Skin Foundation on Monday night, September 9, at Rockwell Powerplant Mall in Makati City.
KC CONCEPCION’S FIVE-MINUTE MAKE-UP LOOK
KC revealed that it only takes her five minutes to complete her everyday make-up look.
She said, “Mga siguro, 5 minutes, I can do a full face na.
“Mas matagal pa yung lip stick ko and lip liner, kesa sa paglagay ng foundation and blush.”
KC went on to relate a step-by-step guide to achieve her simple, hassle-free make-up look.
“I’ll use the Synchro Skin foundation. I put powder to seal the make-up like, sa T-zone and under the eyes.
“Then, I’ll use the whipped cream blush. Sometimes, I put that din sa eyelid para may konting shade.
“And then sa lips, I’ll do like the Peep Show, the lipstick.
“And then, if I want, lash curlers, that’s it. So sa kotse, mabilis.”
KC CONCEPCION’S MAKE-UP LINE?
Asked if she has plans of releasing a make-up line with Shiseido, KC answered, “We haven’t thought about that, but this is the first time I’m meeting them.
“First time also that they found out about me kasi nga sa kaka-tag ko sa kanila.
“But I’m very happy happy with Synchro Skin. I don’t know how much better it can get, but maybe, maybe one day, you know.”
KC continued, “Of course, but I trust their formulations na, e, so, let’s stick with first kasi tried and tested na siya.
“And then as I learn, kasi we’re also talking about sa office nila, sa factory nila. They’re also making me learn about their make-up.
“So hopefully, I can make my own line with them.”
KC is keeping her dream of her own make-up line alive. But at the moment, she’s very much satisfied with the make-up products she has been using
