More Filipino talents leap onto the global stage as these KathNiel and DonBelle teleseryes head to international screens!
ABS-CBN brought two of the most popular Filipino TV shows to international viewers – “2 Good 2 Be True” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, and “He’s Into Her” starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.
The KathNiel series will be dubbed in Vietnamese as it airs in Vietnam on weeknights at 8 p.m. through the pay TV channel ONCINE. Aside from its undoubted local success, Bernardo was hailed Outstanding Asian Star in the Philippine category at the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2023 for her role in 2G2BT.
The DonBelle series, on the other hand, is currently being broadcast in Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, and other Sub-Saharan countries through the StarTimes channel. Mariano also won at the SDA in 2022 for her role in HIH, besting 175 nominees from all over the continent for the Outstanding Asian Star Prize.
Currently, Bernardo is in the midst of promoting her upcoming movie with Dolly de Leon, “A Very Good Girl.” Directed by Petersen Vargas, the Star Cinema film is set to hit Philippine cinemas on September 27 and on October 6 in the U.S.
Meanwhile, Mariano is traveling across Europe at the moment following the launch of her album “Somber” in June, and the success of her first major solo concert “Beloved” in July.
