He might be on the rise to stardom but Jeremiah Lisbo remains grounded. In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, the 22-year-old actor talks about being part of this year’s most successful teen series and gaining more supporters along the way.

“Nakakakilig,” Jeremiah reacted to his growing fanbase. In times of doubt, the admiration from people he doesn’t even personally know would give him enough validation. He’s currently seen as RJ/Randall in the DonBelle-starrer He’s Into Her. This serves as his reunion project with Belle Mariano, whom he worked with in the Star Cinema movie “Four Sisters Before the Wedding.” It was a breeze since there were no more adjustments with the young actress he described as “mapagbigay.”

It was also easy to get along with Donny Pangilinan, whom he described as “solid.” Everybody hits it off. As what Jeremiah learned from his sports, basketball, camaraderie makes the team win.

Jeremiah plays RJ/Randall, the captain of Benison International School’s rival team and the ex-boyfriend of Belle’s Maxpein Del Valle. “Marami siyang gustong patunayan sa buhay. Gusto niya maging professional basketball player, Napaka-alpha niya. Gagawin niya ang lahat para makuha ‘yung gusto niya, hindi lang sa career, pati na rin sa pagmamahal,” he said of his character.

Jeremiah relates to RJ in countless ways, from experiencing the ups and downs of life to pursuing the same passion in basketball.

The previous episodes showcased more of his acting chops in remarkable breakdown scenes. But the actor doesn’t take all the credit. He instead lauded his directors, “Teamwork to, eh. Hindi lang sa akin ang performance na ‘to. Mino-motivate nila ako bago gawin ‘yung eksena so nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila at buong production.”

It was only last week when viewers learned that RJ and Randall are one and the same. The big reveal poses conflict to Deib and Max’s budding relationship. Asked who between the two guys deserve Max, Jeremiah rooted for his own.

“Na-portray ko si Randall so nauunawaan ko ‘yung tao. May nagawa siyang pagkakamali pero na-explain naman niya nang mabuti. Kung mahal mo ‘yung tao, mapapatawad mo. Deserve niya ng second chance,” he said.

Now that He’s Into Her is down to its last two episodes, the ‘sepanx’ is starting to kick in. He would miss his co-stars especially Director Chad Vidanes, whom he learned a lot from. After this, Jeremiah hopes to do an action series and work with his idol Richard Gomez.
