RB Chanco is very careful when applying makeup to Kris Aquino: ‘She’s still very sick’
“I finally got to do her makeup again!”

That was the happy reaction of Kris Aquino’s longtime makeup artist RB Changco three years after he last did the Queen of All Media’s makeup.

On Instagram, RB proudly shared some pictures with Kris and her son Bimby, as well as their behind-the-scenes glam session for the veteran TV host-actress’ surprise appearance at PeopleAsia’s 2025 awards.

The makeup artist admitted that he was also a bit nervous while applying makeup to Kris because of the possible reaction caused by several autoimmune diseases.

“Kris is still very sick—frail, fragile, and fighting every day—which made every makeup product and brushstroke feel like a risk,” he captioned the post. He continued, “With her severe allergies and flares, I was terrified she’d react, especially since she hasn’t worn makeup since her health declined. But by some miracle, her reaction was minimal, and that alone was a huge relief.”

He added, “Her appearance was brief but deeply meaningful — a sign that she’s still here, still fighting, still moving forward.”

“Despite everything, she made her first public appearance since becoming very ill. The real queen, the Kris we all love and miss, is still here — stronger than we know. And maybe, just maybe, this is the start of something more,” he said.

For those who are not aware, RB is also the makeup artist of several famous actresses, including Francine Diaz, Jodi Sta. Maria, Angeline Quinto, Shaina Magdayao, and many others.

Meanwhile, before the Queen of All Media’s public appearance, she clarified that she is “not fit to work yet” due to being “underweight,” as well as the physical ailments she is suffering from.
