Jake Cuenca talked about his BFF Paulo Avelino

Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca admitted that he was “nainggit” to his best friend actor Paulo Avelino and this was the reason.

Jake and Paulo have been friends for many years already. They are very supportive of each other’s careers and personal endeavors. Both of them continue to showcase their acting calibers through different projects on TV and in movies.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Jake admitted that he felt jealous of Paulo. However, this was not something on the negative side.

Jake Cuenca said that he was envious of the projects that Paulo Avelino did. He specifically mentioned the movie Fan Girl that his best friend did with actress Charlie Dizon. This film was part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2020 and received positive feedback from moviegoers.

“Wow! Yes, a lot, I would say yes. Parang kay Paulo, like I remember when he showed me the trailer of Fan Girl,” Jake shared, adding that he was really amazed by this project.

The actor added this was his dream and they talked about this all the time. He also shared that they love watching this kind of movie. However, more than the envy that he felt for that project, Jake said that he is proud of Paulo.

“Kasi he also won best actor for that, and rightfully so, he deserved it. But ang galing! Kasi when he showed me that trailer, it also showed me what I wanted,” Jake shared.

Later on, Jake got a similar project when he did the Cattleya Killer. He somehow manifested to have this kind of project. Then, Jake stressed that he was proud of his best friend. “And for me when it comes to Paulo, more than envy or jealousy, it’s really more like I’m proud,” he said.

He also mentioned Paulo Avelino’s Linlang series with Kim Chiu. Jake said that he was amazed how Paulo had his weight loss after doing that project and that he will always be loud and proud of his best friend.

Meanwhile, Jake Cuenca said that he is ready to take off his clothes for a project as long as his role requires him to do so and it is with prominent directors.
