'Hitler o Ninoy?' Palasyo, may sagot kay VP Sara tungkol kay FPRRD

‘Hitler or Ninoy?’ Palace responds to VP Sara on FPRRD
Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro has once again revisited former President Rodrigo Duterte’s statement about Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, in response to Vice President Sara Duterte’s comparison of her father to former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.

In her press briefing, Castro strongly asserted the former President’s statement in response to VP Sara’s statement.

“Is VP Sara comparing her father to the late Ninoy Aquino? We don’t think we’ve ever heard that former President Duterte compared himself to Ninoy if not Hitler,” Castro said.

He added, “He said something himself. He said here ‘Hitler massacred 3 million Jews.’ Actually it’s supposed to be six million Jews. ‘Now there are 3 million, what is it, 3 million drug addicts (in the Philippines), there are. I’d be happy to slaughter them. At least if Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have me.’ So it’s a far cry from comparing yourself, or comparing former President Duterte to Ninoy Aquino who had no record of mass murder or crimes against humanity. Former President Duterte wanted you to compare yourself to Hitler,” Castro said. It is recalled that VP Sara shared with their supporters in The Hague on Sunday, March 23 the advice she gave to former President Duterte’s father that he would be like Ninoy who was assassinated upon his return to the Philippines during the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s father, President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

“That’s what he wants, he wants to go home. I also told him that, ‘Pa, I said, your desire to go home, that’s also the end of your life, you will become Ninoy Aquino Jr.’,” said VP Sara.

“And he told me, he said, ‘If that’s my fate, then so be it. I just want to go back to the Philippines’,” he added. FPRRD is currently in the custody of the ICC after he was arrested on March 11 on charges of “crimes against humanity” in connection with his administration’s bloody war on drugs.
