Gerald Santos To File Complaint Against Danny Tan

Gerald Santos will continue his legal battle

Singer-actor Gerald Santos to file a complaint against musical director Danny Tan who alleged abused him when he was just 15 years old.

Gerald had the courage to speak about his “dark” experience when he was young after Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach filed a case against GMA independent contractors Richard Cruz and Jojo Nones.

The singer-actor who came from a singing competition, narrated what happened to him through social media posts and vlogs. This encouraged other supposed victims of Danny Tan to speak also.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Gerald Santos said that he will push through with his legal battle against Danny Tan this year. He said that this is not just for himself but also for the other victims.

The singer-actor shared that during the Senate Hearing, Senator Jinggoy Estrada promised to give him a lawyer to help him file the case.

“Nakikipag-usap pa rin kami sa legal counsel na ibinigay sa amin ni Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, and naiintindihan ko naman kasi marami rin siyang hina-handle na cases so medyo naba-backtrack kami but hopefully this month may resulta na, may magiging aksyon na,” Gerald shared.

He is hoping that next month they can filed the case and there would be development. Gerald shared that if it is just him, it is already fine with him that he was able to let out the “truth” but this fight is not just for himself.

“Pero hindi na po ito para sa akin lang kundi pati na sa iba pa niyang biktima na lumapit at nakipag-usap sa akin after ng mga Senate hearing,” he said, adding that opening up about this was like removing a big thorn on his chest.

Gerald Santos also shared that he already started his advocacy Courage Movement that will help abuse victims. It is because he realized last year how difficult it is for victims to open up about what happened to them.
