Vic Sotto filed a case against Darryl Yap over the Pepsi Paloma teaser. The controversial filmmaker is being sued for P35 million in damages due to an alleged cyberlibel for the teaser that was posted in social media pages with over a million following.

According to Sotto, the filing of the case against Yap is his reaction to the Pepsi Paloma movie teaser which many people is wondering amid its hype. He stressed that it is nothing personal but he is against the spread of false information.

Amid the Pepsi Paloma teaser going viral on social media, Tito Sotto, the older brother of Vic Sotto, took to social media a post that many netizens thought to be pertaining to the issue. He posted about the “old showbiz gimmick”.

“When you rely on old showbiz gimmick to make money and got all your facts wrong, you will falter, for sure!” Tito Sotto wrote in his post.

Darryl Yap claimed that his materials are allegedly all based on documentaries in the 1980s that were published and publicized. He stressed that the movie must be watched first.

The controversial filmmaker plans to hold a press conference regarding the case filed by Sotto. His camp also claimed that there is “no stop order” on the tease of the controversial film.
