Alex Gonzaga confirms miscarriage: ‘To our baby whom we almost had, thank you for giving mommy and daddy joy’
Alex Gonzaga confirmed that she had a miscarriage in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday.
The vlogger and actress shared several photos of her pregnancy journey with husband Mikee Morada, from her positive pregnancy test result to a photo of them in the hospital.
Alex said they found out they were expecting a baby two months ago, but just three weeks ago they received the heartbreaking news that they may be having an anembryonic pregnancy, where the embryo never develops or stops developing.
“Our doctor advised us to wait for the process to naturally take its course. So we had to wait for awhile for the pregnancy to finally end before we can tell our story,” she wrote.
“The waiting and praying tested our faith and there were a lot of crying. Every day we were clinging on to a miracle that an embryo would still appear but last Tuesday (October 12), the Lord’s will prevailed and we finally closed the book of our first pregnancy,” she continued.
