Self-proclaimed Kris Aquino husband Daniel Magtira claimed that he wants to marry Senator Imee Marcos as the actress is usually not around.

Currently, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is in the process of receiving the Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) of individuals who want to run for public office in May 2025 Midterm Elections. There were be local and national elections including a senatorial election.

However, while he is a private individual, Daniel Magtira gained prominence as the self-proclaimed Kris Aquino husband when he claimed to be the husband of the actress-TV host when he ran for senator and president in the previous elections.

For the May 2025 Midterm Election, the self-proclaimed Kris Aquino husband filed his Certificate of Candidacy for senator. However, based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, he has a new claim — Daniel Magtira expressed his intent to marry Senator Imee Marcos.

Both Aquino and Marcos are coming from popular clans in the Philippine political industry. According to the self-proclaimed Kris Aquino husband, he intends to marry Sen. Imee Marcos as the actress is often not around.

“Si Kris Aquino, lagi siyang wala, na sa ano ata, sa ibang planeta… Kaya pakakasalan ko na lang, si Imee Marcos,” Daniel Magtira said.

Kris Aquino has just returned to the Philippines after a two-year stay in the United States. She flew to abroad in 2022 for her treatment against multiple autoimmune diseases. The actress-TV host went home with several health conditions and is set to undergo another treatment here in the country.

Based on the report, aside from claiming that he will marry Sen. Imee Marcos, the self-proclaimed Kris Aquino husband also showcased his singing talent when he had an opportunity at the podium during the filing of his candidacy.

Reportedly, Magtira is pushing for “salary increase” as well as signing his own recording contract. Neither Kris Aquino or Sen. Imee Marcos has reacted to the claim of the senatorial aspirant.
