Kim Chiu on falling in love again: “Hindi man sa ngayon muna pero hopefully in the next months [or years] to come.”

Asked if she’s been deceived by love at any point in her life, Kim Chiu says: “Lahat naman tayo naloko sa pag-ibig kasi wala eh, nagmahal ka. Siyempre, masho-shoot ka sa mundo ng kalokohan. But that’s part of life. That’s part of growth so embrace the pain and learn something from that experience and you’re good to go.”

Asked if she’s been deceived by love at any point in her life, Kim Chiu says: “Lahat naman tayo naloko sa pag-ibig kasi wala eh, nagmahal ka. Siyempre, masho-shoot ka sa mundo ng kalokohan. After announcing her break-up with Xian Lim last December 23, is Kim Chiu ready to fall in love again?

That was one of the questions asked towards the actress during the media conference for Linlang: The Teleserye Version, where she appeared only via video call after testing positive for COVID-19.

During the show’s “Yiz or Wit” segment, the actress-host told the press that she is not open to falling in love anytime soon but remained hopeful that she would find love again after ending her 12-year relationship with Xian.

“Oo naman,” she said in response. “Hindi man sa ngayon muna pero hopefully, in the next months [or years] to come. Kasi ang love naman, marami namang kayang magbigay ng love. And willing naman ako tumanggap. Basta, kasali sa buhay ‘yun, i-embrace nating lahat.”

Kim, along with fellow Linlang cast members Paulo Avelino and Maricel Soriano and show directors FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin, were also asked if they were deceived by love at any point in their lives.

She revealed that she was deceived, but did not reveal anyone in particular.

“Lahat naman tayo naloko sa pag-ibig kasi wala eh, nagmahal ka. Siyempre, masho-shoot ka sa mundo ng kalokohan,” she said. “But that’s part of life. That’s part of growth so embrace the pain and learn something from that experience and you’re good to go.”

After starring in Linlang, which was well-received by viewers, Kim and Paulo are set to star in the Filipino adaptation of the hit South Korean television series What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?

Linlang follows the story of Victor (Paulo) who seeks justice after his wife Juliana (Kim) cheated on him with his brother Alex, played by JM De Guzman.
