In an interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Judy Ann Santos said that she acknowledges all the reviews of Espantaho. She also co-produced this movie.

“We’re so happy. We’re very, very happy [sa] lahat ng magagandang reviews ng ‘Espantaho.’ Even the not-so-good ones. We welcome and respect everyone’s opinion. It’s life. Gan’un talaga,” she said.

She also said that just being included in the 10 official MMFF entries is already a gift. For the actress, the honest opinion of those who watched her movie is also an award.

When she accepted her Best Actress trophy, Juday expressed gratitude to her co-stars and commended their performances because she said that “acting is reacting.” She believed that she wouldn’t be able to do her job if not because of them.
