Sparkle 10 star Ashley Ortega did NOT deny that she had a hard time moving on from her breakup with ex-boyfriend Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala.
But Ashley said she learned a lot from that breakup. She said she learned to love herself more.
“I admit when we broke up I was really at my lowest because of course we were in love too much. But what happened before, it was a mutual agreement.
“So now, I’m better. I guess what I’ve learned is not to depend on others like you should live alone. I learned to love myself more,” Ashley said.
Ashley previously said that their jobs were the reason they ended up breaking up.
“We were both busy at work, and maybe one of the problems was the distance. Mark was in the province and he was the newly-elected mayor. I was busy with work, I just finished ‘Widows’ Web’ and then I started training for ‘Hearts On Ice’.
“So the connection and communication probably got a little lost. We decided to better ourselves individually to just focus on our career and I don’t want to push it further if we know it will only become more toxic.”
After ‘Hearts On Ice’, Ashley will be in GMA’s historical drama ‘Pulang Araw’ with Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, David Licauco, and Alden Richards. She will play one of the comfort women during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.

Jessica Villarubin and Renz Verano responded to the negative comments they received on social media because of their choice to be judges in GMA’s revived singing contest Tanghalan Ng Kampeon on the program ‘TikToClock’.
According to netizens: “Jessica doesn’t know, she doesn’t like to comment.” and “Jessica is not worthy, she is on the side because she is not popular.”

“Our bosses at the top chose me. That’s all, the trust they gave me, I am very grateful that I was chosen. There’s always room for improvement and I am willing to learn and I am doing my best.
“This is the last thing I will say, I love you. Just bash me when you bash me, it’s okay.”
OPM icon Renz Verano was told by a netizen: “I only know Renz, he is still old. You should pick the singing champions as judges. They don’t know how to appreciate talent!”
This was Renz’s answer: “In 1982, I participated in the first Minus One singing contest in the Philippines. It was interschool. I was a student of UP Diliman, I represented UP throughout the Philippines.
Because I was lucky, I was the first grand champion of the first Students Pop Festival. I joined the band for a few years. Then, I became a vocal coach for a few years too.
“My first album went platinum, my second album, Remember Me, was 5x platinum. My 3rd, 4th, and greatest hits went platinum. In 1995, I was awarded the Awit Awards Best New Male Recording Artist.”
