Inanunsiyo ng anak ni Jimmy na si Aldrin Magcale ang tungkol sa pagkawala ng kanyang ama.

Ayon kay Aldrin, binawian ng buhay ang tatay niya kahapon, Disyembre 17, ganap na ala-singko ng hapon.

Ibinahagi ni Aldrin sa mensahe ng pamamaalam nito ang kuwento tungkol sa personal na buhay at entertainment career ni Jimmy.

Nakasaad dito: “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dad, Jaime Y. Magcale also known as Jimmy Morato, who passed on December 17, 2024 at around 5:00 in the afternoon.

“Our dad was a cherished individual known for his kindness, dedication to work, and his sense of humor.

“Jimmy, a prominent Broadcast Journalist with over 25 years of being on air in his radio program Chachahin Mo, Baby.

“The first and original ‘Tisoy’ from his showbiz days in the Golden Age of Philippine Cinema. A good friend. And most importantly, our loving father.”

Ibuburol ang mga labi ni Jimmy mula ngayong araw, Disyembre 18, 5 P.M., hanggang December 21, Sabado, sa Emerald Chapel ng Loyola Memorial Park, sa Marikina City.

Binalikan din ni Aldrin ang magandang alaala niya sa pumanaw na ama.

“Dad, thank you for your life. I will never forget all the things you have taught me and my brothers. We will forever cherish all our memories together as a family.

“All the Sundays, going to church and eating at Kenny Rogers. Going to Greenhills and SM to buy new school shoes.

“Thank you also for not giving up on me. During the times that I was lost as a young adult, despite all the challenges you and mom were facing, you have protected me and pushed me to become the person I am today.

“Thank you dad for providing me with education, and most importantly thank you for teaching me about respect and professionalism. It’s going to get tough before it gets better. But I am at ease knowing that you will be spending Christmas with Mom.

Dagdag pa ni Aldrin, “We ask for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Dad, I love you so much.”

JIMMY MORATO’S ACTING CAREER

Si Jimmy ay isinilang noong Abril 15, 1946.

Nag-umpisa ang acting career niya noong 1969 nang magbida siya sa pelikulang Tisoy, katambal si Pilar Pilapil.

Kabilang pa sa mga pelikulang ginawa ni Jimmy ay ang Tore ng Diyablo, Mayo-Disyembre, The Life Story of Julie Vega, at Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote at Ako.

Nang magpahinga siya sa pag-arte ay ibinuhos ni Jimmy ang atensiyon at panahon niya sa pagiging broadcast journalist.
