Nangako ang senador at chair ng senate committee on Public Information and Mass Media na si Sen. Robinhood “Robin” Padilla na poprotektahan nila ang karapatan nina Sandro Muhlach, ang nang-aakusang Sparkle artist ng sexual harassment laban sa GMA independent contractors na sina Jojo Nones at Richard Cruz.
Ito ay matapos lumantad ang dalawa sa isinagawang senate hearing nitong Lunes, Agosto 12.
“WE WILL PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS,” ayon sa post na mababasa sa opisyal na Facebook page ng Senate of the Philippines.
Iginiit ni Padilla na hindi korte ang senado para alamin kung sino ang guilty o hindi, subalit isinagawa ang senate hearing upang marinig ang magkabilang panig at nang makapag-isip ang mga mambabatas ng mga bagong batas na magbibigay-benepisyo sa mga Pilipino.
Hindi po kami Huwes. Hindi hukuman ito. Hindi namin papel iyan. Poproteksiyunan po namin ang inyong karapatan dito. Katulad po ng pagpo-protect sa inyo ng ating mga law enforcement,” aniya.
Sa nabanggit na hearing ay pinagdiinan ng dalawa na wala silang ginawang masama kay Sandro, at hindi pa raw huli ang lahat para magsabi ng totoo ang aktor.
