Vice Ganda isn’t just a comedienne in her own right, but also a celebrity with a big heart. One living proof of Vice’s kindness is the former child star and ex-“Tawag Ng Tanghalan” contestant, Amy Nobleza. Amy just finished college with flying colors and she has expressed her endless gratitude for the Unkabogable star.

Amy took to Instagram to share her happiness over finishing her degree. She graduated from the Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing Management. She posted her graduation photos with a heartfelt caption thanking her family and everyone who supported her in her studies, especially Vice Ganda.

She began her post saying, “Everything became possible because of the support and trust of the people around me. I thank my family for their love and unwavering support; my classmates for our unforgettable moments, late nights, and countless coffees; Team Amy and my friends who support me in my endeavors; my professors for their guidance and the wisdom they shared with us…”

Then she continued, “…and especially to the person who helped me finish and achieve this, meme @praybeytbenjamin. I’ll forever be grateful to you. This is just the beginning. Cheers to the future!”

How did Vice Ganda start helping Amy Nobleza?

It was in 2019 when Amy grabbed the chance to compete in It’s Showtime’s “Tawag Ng Tanghalan Celebrity Champions” edition. It was an emotional episode for Amy, as Vice remembered her singing the theme song for the fantasy teleserye, Mutya. ICYDK, Amy also starred in the fantasy series as Chabita, the young princess of the black mermaids in the story.

After Amy’s performance in the competition, she exchanged meaningful banter with Vice. Their conversation became the start of something new for Amy. Back then, Vice discovered Amy’s excellent academic record. She was the Salutatorian back in elementary and had emerged as the top of her batch back when she was in 11th grade.

At the time, Amy was sure that she wanted to pursue college, despite not having plans yet for her school and course. Vice asked her about her financial status for college and Amy responded with, “Sakto lang po.”

“‘Pag ‘di mo kaya, ako magpapaaral sayo,” Vice pledged, causing Amy to break down into tears. It’s not every day that you would meet someone willing to help you in your studies, and Vice is that kind of person.

Later on, after Amy hugged her as a sign of gratitude, Vice said, “Kasi nakakahanga ‘yung bata pa lang artista na, tapos hindi tumuloy sa eskwelahan, tapos honor student. […] Tapusin mo ang pag-aaral mo para sa akin na hindi nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral, okay?”
