Kapamilya star Vhong Navarro said that he has already forgiven model Deniece Cornejo amid the revived issue between them.

Back in 2014, Deniece accused Vhong of raping her. The actor counter-attacked and filed a grave coercion case against Deniece and businessman Cedric Lee. In 2018, the Department of Justice junked the case against Vhong but this was revived this year as the Court of Appeals ordered the Taguig City prosecutor’s office to file acts of lasciviousness case against the actor-host.

On September 19, Taguig Metropolitan Court issued an arrest warrant against Vhong Navarro. He surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation, based on the report from ABS-CBN.

Talking with the press while he is at NBI, the Kapamilya star admitted that the reopening of the case against him saddened him. It is because this fight is over or at least it is near its end already.

This is the reason why they were surprised that after 8 years, the case was dug up and resurrected. Worse for his part, he is now being painted as the culprit as he insisted that he is the victim in this situation.

“Ang hirap paniwalaan,” he said, adding tha since 2014, he presented everything that has transpired back then. When asked if there was an effort from the two camps to just settle this issue, Vhong said that there was no talk that happened between him and Deniece’s camp.

“Walang umabot sa amin na balita na parang gustong makipag-ayos, kahit kami rin wala,” he said. Vhong was also asked if he is willing to talk to the other camp and settle this issue privately.

The actor-host said that he can forgive the other camp and even said that he has forgiven them already. However, he does not like the idea that both camps will forgive each other but there is a certain condition like he should have a public apology.

Vhong Navarro said that he will not have a public apology because it is like admitting the accusation against him.
