230418 Jeonghan & Jun for ELLE Korea (D Edition issue pictorial part 2) : r/seventeen

Sad news, Carats: K-pop idols Jeonghan and Jun of SEVENTEEN will not join group activities for the rest of 2024.

Their agency PLEDIS Entertainment announced the solo activities of the two idols on Monday, Aug. 12 via Weverse.

Jeonghan is set to enlist in mandatory military service. His enlistment date is yet to be announced.

While he will be missing promotional activities for their 12th mini album, Jeonghan will still be able to meet with Carats at the fan signing event and Lollapalooza Berlin.

On the other hand, Jun will be pursuing his acting career and other opportunities in China.

“Like Jeonghan, Jun has completed filming for content that could be prepared in advance,” the agency said. But unlike Jeonghan, Jun will not be able to participate in Lollapalooza Berlin, music show performances for the 12th mini album, and the upcoming world tour due to “an overlap with the on-location filming schedule.”

“Jun is determined to participate in SEVENTEEN’s group activities, and though he is unable to take part in the world tour, Jun will participate as much as he can in schedules that engage with CARATs,” it added.

Both boy group members will skip the upcoming Right Here world tour, which will kick off in South Korea on Oct. 12 and 13.

“We ask for your kind understanding and support for Jeonghan’s healthy completion of his military service and Jun’s upcoming projects. Please continue to show your love for SEVENTEEN and stay tuned for SEVENTEEN’s upcoming activities this year,” they concluded their statement.

SEVENTEEN is a 13-member group composed of Vernon, Hoshi, DK, Seungkwan, Mingyu, The8, Dino, Joshua, S.Coups, Woozi, Junhui, Jeonghan, and Wonwoo. Some of their hit songs include Very Nice, Super, Rock with You, HOT, and _WORLD, among others.

They last visited the Philippines in January and held a two-night show at the Philippine Sports Stadium as part of their Follow world tour.
