It looks like things are currently going well between Kira Balinger and Kelvin Miranda. The two young stars recently released their new movie, Chances Are, You And I, which has been waiting to be shown in cinemas since last year.

Aside from waiting for the green light for the film showing, Kira and Kelvin were marred with controversy in January 2023. In case you need a refresher, Kira was accused of being the third party that caused the breakup between Kelvin and commercial model, Roselle Vytiaco. Kira, however, aired her side and noted that she didn’t know Kelvin was in a relationship.

“Hindi po ako third [party]. Kung ano man po yung napag-usapan nilang dalawa, wala na po ako doon. Pero ako, from a woman to another woman, I understand that pain. Pero from my point of view, wala po akong alam, and I’m confident to say na hindi ako kabit gaya ng sinasabi ng lahat,” she told PEP.ph.

Kira Balinger Opens Up About Forgiving Kelvin Miranda

During the mediacon for Kira and Kelvin’s new movie, their previous issue was brought up again. Kira stated that she had been unfairly dragged into Kelvin’s relationship issue.

“Of course, I think it was unfair,” she shared. “Those were private conversations and never meant to be smeared in [sic] the Internet in the first place.”

According to Kira, however, enough time has passed since the issue and she has already moved on.

“Siyempre when I was first interviewed about it, I was upset. But ngayon, the water is not boiling anymore, maayos na, nakapag-move on na kaming lahat.”

She added: “Pero masaya na, I’m okay.”

Kira also shared that Kelvin personally asked for forgiveness when the issue blew over. She also emphasized that she made sure to stay *professional* while filming their movie despite the controversy.

“I cannot let that affect our working relationship kasi siyempre this is our responsibility. We both have to show up for each other, and most importantly, for the production. Ang dami nilang pinagdaanan kumpara sa aming dalawa. We have to give that to them,” she shared.

Kelvin Miranda Speaks Up About Previous Issue With Kira Balinger And Ex-GF

More than a year after the issue, Kelvin aired his side in a separate press conference for Chances Are, You and I, where he noted that he *never* courted Kira. However, he said there was a time when he was confused about his feelings for the actress.

“Yes, confused ako sa reality, kung totoo ba lahat ng nararamdaman ko or is it just because of my character. I don’t know, pero isa lang ‘yung gusto ko linisin sa isyu na ito,” he noted.

He emphasized: “Alam din ni Kira, hindi po kami naging kami, para linawin po ang isyu. Wala pong ligawan nangyari.”

Kira added that it’s *not impossible* to fall in love with your co-worker, especially if you’re shooting a romance film.

“With Kelvin’s personality and his character and, you know, the nature of our work, beautiful love story… it just happens. Something happened and before we even know it,” Kira said.

“Pero we didn’t let that affect the quality of our work. We didn’t let that affect our working relationship, so I think that’s what really matters.”

In January 2023, commercial model and influencer Roselle Vytiaco took to Instagram to post a bunch of alleged text message conversations between her ex-boyfriend and Kira.

“Ok, I never thought I’d do this but ako kasi yung sinisisisi niya bakit siya na-attract sa iba,” she wrote, sharing Kelvin’s alleged text messages with Kira.

“Long story short, inamin niya na hindi na daw siya attracted sakin [sic] at attracted na siya sa iba pero wala pa daw iba. So iyak iyak ako diba [sic], biglang naghilik. Ayaan na. Basta, nong inamin niya sakin na totoo na gusto niya si girl pero wala pa daw meron, I left them in peace. Ayon lang okay na yan,” she posted.
